Major Hugo Price and his 2 sons are all at Downham (in London) Salvation Army Corps - 'The Major is Corps Cadet Guardian at Downham', 'Corps Secretary and Deputy-Bandmaster at Downham, Gordon Price', the elder son of the Major' and 'Acting Band-Secretary Eric Price is still at school. He is also a Corps Cadet and Young People's Company Guard at Downham.'  Downham is not far from Catford which is where Hugo, Gordon and Eric moved to from Leyton in 1934 - from Gordon's autobiography. 

1. 1920. Hugo Gordon Emanuel Price was born 23/2/1920 Tamworth Mar 1920 to Hugo Price & Chrissie Gladys Blundell .. After his mother's illness/incapacity in 1927, he initially lived in Weymouth with his grandfather, Edward Price. But by late 1929 his father set up home in Leyton . The family moved from Leyton to Catford in 1934. He left school at this point amd started working as a clerl in the Salvation Army . (more details of his life 1920-1938 in his Autobiography) Gordon enrolled with the Territorial Army (the 63rd Field Regiment Royal Artillery) in 1939 and then at the end of August formed part of an Advance Party to prepare for General Mobilisation, so was then living away from home ( and Chris cannot locate him in the 1939 register). He then must have transferred to the Royal Airfoce. He married Mavis Ivy Josephine Rundlett Bromley Sep 1949. Yvonne Mavis Anne Price was born W.Bromwich Sep 1950 2 more children were born in Australia/Australian new Guinea: Clive b. 8/7/1954 and Glenn b.10/11/1957

1952.They sailed on the Strathnaver, P & O, to Sydney , their last address being 101 Wallinson Road, S W 11. Died on 22nd July 2010 near Sydney, Australia. 

1958. The family returned on the Strathaird to England, arriving 22/9/1958. Hugo Price , 38, b.23/2/1920; Mavis b.7/7/1923; Yvonne b. 17/7/1950 ; Clive b. 8/7/1954 and Glenn b.10/11/1957. Address in England: 22 Linden Court, Anerly Bank, Penge, S W 20. They had lived in New Guinea for more than 12 months, and intended to stay for 10 mths in the UK. Then all except Yvonne intended returning to New Guinea, except for Yvonne, who intended to stay in England, obviously to attend school there

1961. Appointed a member of the Danu Building Board in New Guinea - Trove

1963. The family returned to England on furlough for 8 months, renting a house in Sidcup

1972. Hugo Gordon Emanuel Price was appointed Chaplain 3rd class to the Australian Forces in New Guinea on 18/5/1972-Trove

Gordon and Mavis resigned from missionary work in November 1973 and then settled in the Sydney region of Australia.  They both died within a few days of each other in July 2010 by which time they were both living in a Care Home.  They had a joint funeral service held on 29th July 2010 at Thornleigh Hillcrest Uniting Church, Thornleigh, New South Wales.  None of their children became Church Ministers

He wrote a 221 A4 closely typed Autobiography, of which Meryl has a copy

2. 1923 Eric D G Price born 6/4/1923 in Clapton Hackney Jun 1923 to Edward Price & Chrissie Gladys Blundell ..Died on 25th March 2006 in Canada. 

In the photo at the top of this page , Eric Price was still at school. He was also a Corps Cadet and Young People's Company Guard at Downham. - this near where he was living with his father and elder brother at Catford from 1934 onwards '

He got married on 3rd November 1945 in Canada to Jacqueine D ??

.Eric, after leaving the RAF after WWII also got a job at Perkins in Peterborough and was living with his father and Mithri. After he married in Canada, Jacqueline then came over to England and joined him in Peterborough.

1947.His first child (also called Eric) was born in Peterborough on 26th May 1947. 

1952 & 1954. Christine Price was born on 5/3/1952 and Brian Price was born on 10/8/1954

However, Jackie was homesick, so soon after that they returned to Canada to live.

1996 . He visited the grave of his grandparents, Charles & Christian Blundell, in Southport, with his sister, Marjorie and cousin, Amaris

1992. Eric & Gordon obviously came back to England again in 1992 with their wives and at least one son of Eric's

After Hugo and Mithri Price had both died ownership of the Hut passed to Marjorie East.  Then when she died the ownership passed to Stephen East and is still owned by him now.
